A foodie dilemma

UPDATE: A happy ending for our Food Network fans!

They write:
We saw it at the Cambridge Brewing Company. Bartender Betsy was terrifically accommodating. We had fun and the food and beer there is GREAT! We went for a late lunch -- made the arrangements -- and then returned for dessert and the show! Thanks for your help. We have found very friendly people everywhere here.

I received an interesting plea today from an out-of-town reader. As a person who barely owns a functioning TV (and has no "cable offerings" at all), I am at a loss for what to suggest. Can anyone help this desperate fan of The Food Network?
We’re spending a week in Boston/Cambridge next week and are hungry for the best food ideas. Also, we are a little desperate. We want to watch the final episode of the Next Food Network Star, but our hotel does not have it on their cable offerings. Do you have any suggestions?? I would very much appreciate it. We can’t wait a week to see it on DVR.

I bet if they put a request on the Boston Chowhounds misc section, someone would invite them over.

As someone who also does not subscribe to Cable Television, I, too, miss the Food Network. However, I have managed to fill the void by watching WGBH Create one of the 44s. There are a ton of great cooking shows--American Experiment Kitchen, American BBQ University, and more.
